Description
A 360-Degree Growing Oasis
Elevate your home landscaping with The Mix-and-Match Estate Centrepiece 4-tier raised bed. Whether you have a sprawling lawn or a compact courtyard, this freestanding island structure allows you to bypass poor ground soil entirely. Because it is designed to be approached from all sides, planting, tending, and harvesting become effortless tasks that require far less bending and reaching.
The Power of Four Tiers
Having four distinct levels unlocks wonderful planting versatility. The stepped design ensures that every plant receives optimal sunlight without overshadowing its neighbour. You can establish a vibrant display of trailing flowers on the lowest tier while reserving the deeper, uppermost levels for larger crops like tomatoes, peppers, or root vegetables. This layered approach naturally improves water efficiency, as moisture from the top tiers filters down to nourish the lower levels.
Custom Soil for Maximum Yields
Because this island is entirely bottomless, the roots of your plants can grow deep into the soil below while benefiting from the premium soil you provide in the raised sections. The soil in raised beds warms up much faster under the South African sun, extending your growing season and considerably increasing your yields.
Pure and Uncontaminated Timber
We craft every single unit from 100% organic, natural, untreated wood. Because we never use chemical preservatives, you can grow your family’s food with complete peace of mind, knowing your soil remains pure, safe, and uncontaminated.

Soil Requirements
Filling a large island planter correctly is vital for long-term gardening success. This 4-tier unit requires a total soil volume of 268 litres. We recommend a nutrient-dense blend consisting of 7 bags of our Organic Power Growth Soil Mix (20 dm each) and 4 bags of Organic Container Potting Soil (30 dm each). This exact combination provides the structural integrity, drainage, and feeding power your plants require.
Pro Tip: When planting a 360-degree island bed in South Africa, position tall, sun-loving crops like climbing beans or tomatoes in the very centre of the top tier. This placement prevents them from casting unwanted shade on the lower tiers, allowing your low-growing herbs and leafy greens to receive ample, even sunlight throughout the day.
