It allows for a “dual-zone” growing environment: the raised 23 cm layer holds your premium topsoil and compost, while the open bottom allows deep-rooted vegetables like carrots, parsnips, and tomatoes to reach the soil beneath. This integration with the ground ensures better drainage and access to deep-seated nutrients that pots cannot provide.
