Vertical Gardening with Flower Boxes
You still think that you have no space available to plant herbs, veggies or flowers?
Our rustic wooden flower boxes can be stacked together quickly and securely, to create a planter arrangement of your imagination.
Perhaps you have some corner on your property that could be beautified, or put to good use?
Our Vertical Box System makes it easy to build into a corner, or around a corner.
Imagine what those pictured vertical gardens could look like, once each box has grown a little garden of flowers, or herbs, or perhaps into a beautiful display of cacti (cactuses) and indigenous succulents?
We construct our containers with brass coated, rust-resistant screws and untreated SA pinewood from sustainable forests.
We do not nail or staple those boxes together as is common here.
Nails do rust, and corrosion causes wood to rot. Furthermore, nails, as opposed to screws, make maintenance at a later stage challenging.
Note: We also do not use wood from pallets, as they are treated to conform to international shipping laws. Some of those treatments contain poisonous chemicals like Arsenic (Arsenic is a known human carcinogen and is acutely toxic), a poison that you end up eating, should you grow herbs or veggies.
However, we can prolong the lifespan of the timber by using a good marine grade wood sealer or even applying the ancient Japanese method of Shou-Sugi-Ban, which is organic.
